{"id":475,"date":"2022-09-12T13:15:55","date_gmt":"2022-09-12T13:15:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/bellobuggio.com\/?p=475"},"modified":"2022-09-12T13:15:55","modified_gmt":"2022-09-12T13:15:55","slug":"san-rocco-a-lausegno","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/bellobuggio.com\/index.php\/2022\/09\/12\/san-rocco-a-lausegno\/","title":{"rendered":"San Rocco, a L&#8217;Ausegno"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every year on 16th of August, we hike to the small chapel on L&#8217;Ausegno, a hilltop above our village.<br><br>Every year has a &#8220;Priore&#8221; and a &#8220;Prioresse&#8221; who are in charge of cleaning the small church, decorating it for the event, and they provide food and drinks for all the visitors. A lot of the food making is made by other locals, so we can serve different dishes and &#8220;dolce&#8221;.<br>This year, on August 16 2019, we started a new tradition. Prioresse Helle Alex bought re-useable plastic plates and cups, and visitors were asked only to bring knives and forks for themselves. As a part of the new global spirit, we eliminated waste &#8211; left over food was bagged for the local chicken, and all dishes were taken home to be washed. The small baskets for the &#8220;dolce&#8221; are also re-useable! <br>So, we ended up with only a small bag of used paper napkins, and a bigger bag for empty wine bottles, which was all recycled.
